Sorry one more stupid question. Would you describe the bling as a coronet or a headband?

A coronet is a crown worn by a royal below the rank of sovereign. It can also be just a metal headband decorated with jewels. Her headband is decorated. Can't tell whether there might be small jewels on there. And if Vulcans consider a matriarch as powerful as she is to be "royal", then you could make an argument that it's a coronet. Or not. In the SCA it would be a headband because it has no points. Her headdress most closely resembles what in medieval times was called a
wimple, but with a headband added.

Well there are two spiked crystals or gems set in the top of the band. So I think it counts as a coronet. I should know this stuff because of my Russia novel, but you never can tell with Vulcans!
Here's a better view

Let's be honest not even the most ostintacious hip-hop artist would enjoy wearing this bling. It looks like a torture device. I'm not sure to how to describe this thing!

It took me a moment to figure out what sort of hip-hop artist you were talking about. What a great word!

Hip-hop is music! Not quite rap, not quite R&B, What do they call it in the UK?

Well it depends for me. Most of it is, but every once in a while I like to get down! We need a dancy smiley.
I'm still trying to figure out a well worded description for this "necklace."
