Thanks, Aquarius, for this entertaining link! :D Your study is very exciting.
Did your teacher only provide this link or narrate any details?
It is interesting, whether this technology permits you to create two chat bots with the similar texts (for example, TnT fantics) and later makes them talk with each other (typing their answers in two different windows) or not?

Well, we're starting the chapter on artificial intelligence today, so we were working with interactive programs to see how they stacked up compared to real people. We worked with one called ELIZA that was meant to replace therapists, and another bot kind of one--I forget the urls but I'll get my worksheet back on Monday so I can post them then if anyone is interested.

I asked Kirk about naked green women and the professor cracked up. He responded with some nonsense random thing about fear. :vulcan:

LOL yeah. She posed the question "Are computers smart enough to replace people?" and I thought of at least TEN Trek epixodes that explain why this is a bad, BAD idea!!!!

I had read about this theme seriously twenty years ago. There was the language PROLOG which gave some those possibilities but without the modern service.
Are there the different sci-fi characters?
This Kirk held down a job well when I asked the formal questions. I like the cunning answer: "Spock knows" on my question: "What our mission, sir?"
But, IMHO, this bot reckons without the casual lines (''funny" et al). Though they make a good decision (quite human one): to start the talk off in a different direction

Thanks, for this respite!

You said: you have a satelite dish sticking out of your ass
Fake Kirk: I have an idea. What if he is really Apollo?

I once when to a computer-based show by an artist I knew and the project was that she had complied all these clips from history and they you poll the audience to find out what their bias is and show them like a 15 or 20 minute movie of a version of history that supports their bias. And it's instantly computer generated from the same set of clips and commentary. The biases were like for or against capitalism, male bias, female bias, believe in progress or decay. Or you could pretend to have a certain bias and see what it gave you. It was pretty cool.

Ooh, I'd love to have a link to that for Comp 2.
