Yes, it's a recurring theme in sci-fi. I once had a friend who said, "I've seen 2001: A Space Oddessy and I learned that smart computer are a bad idea." :lol:

I can't say Fake Kirk is making me overly concerned. But he was amusing! And it's pretty cool that you get academic credit for that.

Any time anyone talks about TNG, Priso's Dad is like "yeah, but what about commander DATA? That guy took over the ship so many times that he should have been dismantled!!!!" and so forth. He's not wrong.
