Still great laugh.
Some of these people haven't taken their medication. Let's see what happens now...

And by people WG had herself in mind, but then the quote would have been ruined.

Right, right! :guffaw: :guffaw: :guffaw:
Well yes. I continue to write. And on Fanfiction.Net, for those who want, it is possible to cast a glance at my latest efforts. We arrived to
The Ears of the Elves, chapter Forty-four

And here is the beginning of the whole story.

But, I must say, you could also find something else on Fanfiction.net written by me. If you want.

I know, but stuff like that is making all the Abrams fanboys that much more irritating.

That's kind of funny.

Could somebody please explain to me...
SPOILER!!!:
How exactly Amanda Greyson died in the movie? I mean how did Checkov lose her transporter signal?
I cannot figure it out at all, and I've tried.

SPOILER!!!:
The planet was being destroyed. The surface she was standing on collapsed from beneath her. She fell. Earlier in the movie they made a big deal about how it's nearly impossible to lock onto people when they're in motion--remember the first transporter chief freaking out at people to hold still??

So Chekov tried but he just couldn't manage to keep the lock on her. He'd gotten lucky with Kirk and Sulu earlier, but there was just too much going on this time. Chekov is good, but Scotty is obviously the king of the impossible last-minute beam-out, and he hadn't joined the ship yet. ;-)

It's all pretty straight-forward.

Good answer, Aquarius! You should write some episode and movie reviews like KTR does. 8)
Working on a major fan fic project. Two-thirds done. Hope to put it up in the not TOO distant future.

He already HAD a lock on her, she was in the middle of the beam out, you saw the glimmering start. :?

Oh come on CX you can do better than that! I know you hate Abrams and every little thing about the movie, but you could at least explain what happened!!!!

Not really because it doesn't make any sense that
SPOILER!!!:
they can beam someone across the solar system but they can't beam a person who's in motion after they've already locked on to them. Technically we already saw things like that in ENT, which would've taken place before this movie, but it's painfully obvious this movie has nothing to do with the original franchise besides familiar names so we have to take things on their own merit with this movie. It also makes no sense that an equation would allow that super long range transport since something like that would depend on the equipment and its ability to do so, not some equation typed into the computer console. As for Amanda, she fell, and we're supposed to take it as that being what caused her death.
