Eian's definition of "canon" (On another thread) is fallacious.
SPOILER!!!:
Trip is NOT dead.
Well yes. I continue to write. And on Fanfiction.Net, for those who want, it is possible to cast a glance at my latest efforts. We arrived to
The Ears of the Elves, chapter Forty-four

And here is the beginning of the whole story.

But, I must say, you could also find something else on Fanfiction.net written by me. If you want.

Nope. Trip's "death"
SPOILER!!!:
is only a holodeck fiction made 200 years later.

That's my story and I'm sticking to it!

Well said!

Fine stick to it. I deny the holo program exists. But the B's say it's real. Canon! An AU isn't Canon for the RU.

What the B's say isn't really relevant vs. what's on film, IMO, which is probably pathetic of me since I was just talking about what they said in the other thread, but whatever. I'm with KTR on that one.

Besides, they also SAID they could undo that death if they needed to.

^ That's the thing: in Star Trek, you never have to stay dead. Just ask Spock. Or Tasha Yar. Or...well, lots of people!

You know the reason why it's easy to say *the_abomination* didn't happen? Because it doesn't even fit into the episode it's supposed to take place in. As for Not. Dead. shirts, I think I'll make mine for Star Trek. ;)

Cool, suggested wording on T-shirts:

Star Trek:
The original universe is
Not.Dead.
:raspberry:

Vulcan:
Reports of its demise are illogical
:vulcan:
Working on a major fan fic project. Two-thirds done. Hope to put it up in the not TOO distant future.

I mean...I loved the new movie...but even I have to admit that the "original" bit of that message is more than a little out of place... :duh:

 It's actually referring to the corn flakes. That's on every corn flakes box. But when I saw it I couldn't help giggling and thinking how much it would horrify some of us here!

(Meanwhile my son won't let me recycle the box...)

Man, that's both funny and sad at the same time. :wtf:

The irony of it all is that... well, the irony of that phrase with that image is probably lost on both the marketeers and the young audience who buys the Corn Flakes.
She's got an awfully nice bum!
