Typical Vulcan robes except that the women are wearing very weird hard corsets that would put the Tudors to shame. Apparently thou shalt not distract thyself from logic with the suggestive swell of a woman's bosom...

Clearly this is the "Chesty" period in Vulcan history.

Personally I think of it more as the "chest of drawers" or "bookshelf" period of Vulcan fashion. You could nail Christmas stockings to that thing!

The only image I can find at TrekCore is the one image where Amanda isn't wearing a chest over her chest -- and it's an image that's not in the movie. There must a deleted scene on the way in the DVD version, because this is from a scene with baby Spock and Sarek which suggests that either Vulcans are really into giant knit items for baby and maternity wear, or Amanda was missing Earth and decided to go crazy knitting on her own: http://movies.trekcore.com/gallery/albu ... ler035.jpg

Well, if you don't mind clicking around, go to trekcore.com, then navigate to movies, STXI, screencaps, and look through 'em. Since it's just from the trailer there aren't that many caps up.

TrekCore is a delight to waste time with anyway. Sometimes I just go clicking through, looking for pictures of Trip looking adorable.
