Las Vegas 2008 - Huge List Going

Er... guess what? I checked my schedule, just for kicks. I mean, it's totally ridiculous for a responsible adult to go to THREE SF conventions in three months, right? Ludicrous.

But after Elessar and eK BEGGED on Saturday, I decided to just take a look, right? Doesn't hurt to take a look.

Not only is the week of the Vegas con during semester break when I'd ordinarily work only half time for one week and then be off another week, the convention falls on the week I'm scheduled to be off anyway.

I guess God wants me to go to Vegas.

Now I need to talk my husband into it.

We shall all retire to our respective 'work huts' to draw up some schematics as to how we shall endeavor to INVADE VEGAS!!

Uh, can't go this year but I am waiting to see the 2009 Las Vegas con listed so I can sign up right away. It's over a year off, so anyone else planning on that one? Distracted? I haven't seen you in the flesh since Vulkon 2006! T'Poptarts, can you save for that one so I can meet you? Elessar, how about you? Evcake? JT? JK? Arg, I can't list everyone here, so just asking if any people on this board can possibly plan for Las Vegas 2009!

I don't know about Las Vegas in 2009 - I will be back in the country, but also back to being a broke grad student. Don't hold your breath, but time will tell.

So nobody's planning to go this year except Elessar, eK, and Priso... and only if they can somehow arrange to afford it, so it's not definite with them either. Hmmm.

Anybody else? I'm still in the "debating whether I should go" stage. It's a pretty large chunk of change to spend if all I get out of it are two 3D rides and an autograph from Jolene. I'd like to meet up with at least a couple of you guys.

Yeah. I'll let you know as soon as I know whether my favorable circumstances are going to pan out, so that you can plan ahead. And I'm sure Ek and Priso will as well, as soon as they get home

Like I said... I'm trying. Dunno yet but I'm trying. It's closer so the buses are cheaper... hotel rates shouldn't be so bad either because like 3 years ago when I went to Vegas with my parents and sisters we had a room at the Circus Circus for like $40something a night and we were 5 people in the room... so sharing would be even cheaper I have a sleeping bag I don't mind sleeping on the floor... anyway I'm trying. But I don't know yet cuz it's still expensive for me.

Um yeah as for killing stuff in Australia give me some time I'll put together a list of all the super-drunk barfing obnoxious Aussie tourists I've had the "pleasure" to meet.
