Yeah, I've done it before. It's just much more fun to covet someone else's.

Bether, what a shocking admission! Considering all the crazyness that goes on in my stories, I better not claim they are about me, but I do have reason to believe that's the way the world works. Hum de dum de dum . . . I will allow my sources to remain anonomyous. lol . . .

And Alelou, you were the famous writer at that con. I trust female fans are no problem for you? Because I am so envious, I mean admiring, of your talent.

Ha ha. I'll take any fans I can get, but no, I don't develop narcissistic crushes on the female ones. Not yet, anyway... besides, I have to admit the guys I've gotten a little gaga over are also kind of cute. You've seen my handsome husband...I like men who are prettier than me!

Maybe I should be a little more specific. When I say they're about me, I mean more about something that I'm trying to express that is meaningful to me personally. Not that I'm making T'Pol or Trip me or anything, but that I'm trying to say things through her or him in a way that would fit their characters. It's challenging, but fun. :) I think that's why when I show my husband some heartfelt expression of my soul by giving him one of my stories to read and he waits 3 weeks and then forgets about it...it's a little bit of a downer. Oh well. We do share a love for baseball. Can't win them all. 8)

I've been there. He promised to read the first novel and never got past the first few chapters. By the time I'd worked myself up to sharing it, that was pretty disconcerting. Also just plain depressing to think you've bored anyone that badly.

But thankfully he doesn't read anyone else's novels either. 8)
