That slide show is cute
It's flavored with passionfruit
an appropriate ingredient, don't you think?

Great pics guys... that slide-show is cute!
This sure looks like a lot more fun then the cons I've been too: The last time I was in Dallas was for the 2005 international BST users convention... BST, by the way, stands for Behavioral Science Technology: very dry... until they opened the bar that is
Needless to say, as a Trek con virgin, I'm really looking forward to next June... and just watching EK maniacally happy... well that'll be fun too

I've never been to one, either. I'm really curious.

The amazing thing about cons is that here you are:
this freak who paid a million bucks to come to a hotel and blather and think about some tv show and everyone you know in the "normal world" you left behind thinks you are certifiable.
and then you actually get to the con.
and the freaks are numerous and plentiful.
and you realise: there are others out there.
others who will spend $$$$ on the perfect klingon forehead and its professional spiritual gummy application to your beatifically happy face as dozens of others look on....jealous.
and you realise that by comparison to the other freaky freaks at the freak mecca, you actually look kind of, um, normal.

Re: FEDCON, Dallas, TX (June 13-15, 2008)
as i posted that i was attending this con, a few heady days back, i relished the strange feeling of finally BEing one of those TriSTuckerBastards who goes to a con and gets all excited about it online and makes plans with a few select, other, lucky TriSTuckerBastards.
Uusually it's all in London or Denmark or something and I'm all "die, you european sons-of-biotches!" (shaking fist in a threatening, old-man sort of way)
and now you all wish *I* would die. *sighs with self-satisfaction*.
It's truly a wonderful feeling.

I think so. Hmmmm. I should wear something tight and/or revealing in order to combat the heat.

Would your husband punch me in the face if I openly oogled you? Or for that matter, would you?

Hmmmm, oogling? Sounds like ogling, but perhaps more Treklike?
Lee has never punched anyone in the face, but there is certainly a first time for everything.
However, one does not put on the catsuit and expect all to look away. So oogle my lad. Oogle away. And take your chances.

Re: FEDCON, Dallas, TX (June 13-15, 2008)
Oh dear! I am dying to meet Enterprikayak! Of course, I have no special talents like D. and Enteprikayak--wearing costumes, doing skits, and making jokes. My specialty is giggling and taking pictures. Hmm . . . I have a sister in Texas . . . But, I said I wouldn't . . . no . . no . . . I can't. I've been to too many.
But here's some inspiring words for Enterprikayak and Distracted: After Vulkon two years ago, a coworker teased me that he had to go to Europe to have as much fun as I had in Cleveland. (And he had to go to Hawaii to have as much fun as I had in Cherry Hill, New Jersey).

I'm donating my body to science fiction.
