Some of the OTHER people criticizing this book haven't read it.

To clarify:
I'm NOT commenting on TGTMD because I haven't read it. I'm commenting on the initial "inside scoop" that is the first post in this thread. That I feel qualified to have an opinion on. I haven't the slightest clue how TGTMD handles it and I'm not pretending to.

To further clarify, some of us don't like the over heterosexuality either!

Well, I will go on the record as saying that I loved The Good that Men Do. I had a few nitpicks, but overall I loved it, and the writing was great.

The homosexuality of the couple WAS relevant and worth mentioning in the context of the story. It wasn't "In your face." It just was. It's a case of describing a situation in a short word instead of beating around the bush. Just like, oh, Trip's Mom and Dad are here. And also his brother and his brother's husband. I don't remember the context, but something like that.

Later the couple have a long conversation, which is effective and interesting in the context of the story and it sure helps to know their relationship. Well that's just the opinion of one reader . . .

And that's all I have to say about "T'Pol's family"

Smart, smart man. I make no apologies for my views, but I don't want to be involved in a fiery debate, so I'm going to take half a page from your book and think long and hard before jumping into non-Trek controversy.

Did anyone else notice Solkar showed up at the delegation on Earth in TGTMD? Very Happy

I'm not talking about the book any more than that so no one has to worry about spoilers... because I haven't read anymore than that, and that's at the very beginning, hehehe.

But Solkar's totally mine. Very Happy He's my Lorian Very Happy
