Once you have the av uploaded to your hosting service (ie, photobucket or imageshack or wherever), then you go to the User Control Panel, click on "Profile" and when that screen comes up, click on "edit avatar".

Be sure to use the box that states "link off-site" when you enter in the URL for your avatar.

Do not use the box marked 'upload from URL' because that will copy it to our database.

How about this one? I'm not sure--get them to march up and down a bit...

Oh, oops, thought it was cool to do that. Embarassed You might want to disable that feature then so no one can use it (it's usually in the board settings somewhere on the Admin panel).

Ok, I've found it.


If youve lost your av, it's because it fell into that category, just upload it to photobucket or whatever and use the "Link from another website box" on the Avartar bit of your profile
