In reply to some comments on my story:

The story was meant to be non-linear and jump around chronologically, which I know was confusing, but it was part of my perspective of the chaos in a person's mind.

The scenes up until the moment when T'Pol reaches into Trip's mind was not meant to be random hallucinations as brought on my injuries - though that is an intriguing idea that I hadn't considered. That's one of the things I love about fanfic is how people interpret things all different ways.

I don't know if this makes it more boring but it was actually meant to be your typical "life flashing before the eyes" thing. All the scenes were therefore supposed to have happened... My little way of depicting some of the key events we know must have taken place in the E2 Universe.... The one 'first kiss' being back on Harbinger, the conception/attempts being Phlox's difficulty producing a viable hybrid technique, and of course Trip's E2 death. The confusing scene was the one I just made up... the Natalie scene. In my opinion, Trip and Natalie's fledgling relationship (inasmuch as we have made it up to be upon the evidence of the one line between he and Archer) could very well have been one of those painful on-again-off-again things that set him against a relationship to begin with. I mean, it's not hard to argue that before Trip met T'Pol he may've been suffering some commitment issues, like Kirk.

So that was my idea of one of the early instances of Natalie "showing her true colors", by standing him up at senior prom.

I just put up the ending of my neverending story. Sigh. It's bittersweet, but nice to be done.

Although I am a touch confused: This is either the E2 universe where Trip is hallucinating about marrying T'Pol on Vulcan instead of enterprise, and that he got to give his son his granddad's baseball glove on earth.

Or this is Trip's death from *the_abomination* and this is the life T/T secretly had.

Or this is Trip making up a life with T'Pol he wanted but never got to live.

It is a little of option 1 and a little of option 3. In my opinion Trip was seeing some flashes from when he and T'Pol married on Enterprise in the Expanse in E2, but she could still have been wearing some Vulcan garb. As for the gusts of Vulcan wind and the gong he hears and all that, it's a mix between what he wants to imagine, and also a little of T'Pol's mind's influence on how much he knows about Vulcan marriage ceremonies. That help?
