KTR, great to see you again!

anyhow, that's a valid theory anout Trip and Archer but...

From Strange New World

"That's something Mister Velik used to say. Tenth grade biology class. He was a Vulcan scientist (who came to teach us about life on other worlds. I'd never seen a Vulcan before, not up close. He scared the hell out of me."

Trip was afraid of Vulcans before he met Archer. He'd been isolated from them. Intentionally or not, we don't know. He also might've been friends with Archer bc, as the saying goes, birds of a feather will flock together.

Having Trip's father belong to Terra Prime has definitely been done before. Try reading some of Distracted's Virtual Seasons 5 and 6 on triptpolers.houseoftucker.com.

I did read those. They were very entertaining. Distracted has a lot of intetesting ideas. If I remember right, she had him repent after actually meeting T'Pol.

I keep getting specific incidents from Distracted and HopelessRomantic's virtual seasons 5 and 6 mixed up. But your right it was right after he met her and realized that Trip was in love with her.

FWIW, I recommend both of those stories.

They are both on my all-time favorite list. If you haven't read them, do it now.
Very funny, Scotty. Now beam down my clothes.

It's been a while since I read these. Think I'll revisit them.

This podcast brings up the times Trip mentioned his father. From there, they think they had a decent relationship. I find that interesting given the number of people in the beginning of the thread who think the opposite.

Probably enough people have written fan fiction along those lines (myself included) that people have that idea in their heads. And it's not like Trip talked about his family very much on the actual show.

I think the show left it very open to fan interpretation. After reading this thread and the input from others, I would have no qualms about taking them in either direction and leave it up to the reader to decide of they want to read it or not.

I pretty much agree with you Copycat, I only seem to recall Jon talking about them.
