WeebleSome UpdatesI want to take this opportunity where everyone that's still active is probably reading to touch base with everyone. If anyone has submitted something that hasn't yet seen the light of day, please send me a message. As many of you know, been having some issues with the spam filter on the email account. From this point onward, I've asked all the authors who are still active to submit their submissions to my personal email. If you don't have it, just ask for it on your next submission. This seems like the simplest solution to me to a growing problem with the email filter. Too many submissions are being lost or misplaced for weeks at a time. A few other notes: I know that some submissions are coming up with excessive amounts of spacing. This doesn't happen to everyone and I'm sorry to say, it's simply far too time consuming to manually pull it all out. It's coming across this way directly out of your word documents, but it isn't happening to everyone. If it's a serious issue for you, I suggest maybe the authors powwow with
Weeble and discuss MS Word settings, because
Jupiter Aligns for Mars never comes across with this spacing issue. Also, I'm getting some submissions with Tracking Changes enabled and changes not accepted. It doesn't show up in MS Word but once I paste it into our tool it has all this funny meta code. It would just simplify this process if you can remember to "Accept All Changes" after working with your Beta. Thank you.
On another note, even when submissions are not lost, I am not making my 7-day minimum target and I very solemnly apologize for this. Some of you are dealing with 2- and 3- week delays and you've been eminently graceful about it. I deeply appreciate your patience. I've been managing the inbox solo and life has been pretty busy with Ellie moving over. You can thank
Distracted for anything getting posted at all, as she is diligent and most maternally keeping me on point!
I will do my best to get things moving more quickly again. This month has seen a real turnaround in traffic, and I can't tell you how happy I am to see it!
Everything is going good over here, and I am happy to keep the doors open as long as you keep writing. I may even get off my ham one of these days to finish my own tapestry of literary loose ends! I want to thank
mjimeyg for his infinite patience and support these last few years. Every time one of you writes me with a bug or an issue, I send it to him and he jumps right on it. You can't ask for that kind of customer services even from PAID organizations, much less a volunteer! We wouldn't be up and running without him
so, hat's off to him, he's a gentleman and a scholar!
Don't put the pens down!
