Story recommendations

Postby Bookworm » Wed Aug 22, 2007 11:01 am

I would really like to read some happy Trip and T'Pol stories without angst, but maybe with plenty of funny situations. I was also thinking about reading some of the older stories, because I've read most of the recent stories. So if you know some really good one's you'd like to recommend... :)

THECursor's "Mom, Dad, and Self-Sealing Stem Bolts" (One of Elessar's Classics) Why can't I click to it?

as well as his last story "A Touchy Situation" http://triaxiansilk.com/fanfics/tuv/the ... ation.html

Peter Simon's "Eden (Plot#9)"http://triptpolers.houseoftucker.com/fiction/author_peter_simons_eden_plot_9.shtml
Summary: On an away mission to gather information from an unknown M-class planet, Trip and T'Pol discover a 1960's free-love society. The two conduct an anthropological / sociological / psychological analysis of the planet and in the process discuss the Human and Vulcan psyche and their ideas about sex, love, commitment, and fidelity.

hilarious!

For older stories, go to the Trip/T'Poler's site, its linked on this site's home page as 'House of Tucker'. Click on 'Trip/T'Polers', click on'fiction', click on 'Title'. This gets you the titles in alphabetical order with a summary of each story attached. Maybe you could tell from the summaries if the story is a happy one? Also try the 'genre' tab. Stay away from the angst category, LOL. Categories like 'fluff' and 'humor' might have the types of stories you are looking for. The challenge category 'POV' might be good as it was about when different character's first realized that Trip and T'Pol were a couple. Good luck!
Working on a major fan fic project. Two-thirds done. Hope to put it up in the not TOO distant future.

'Court and Spark' by Ragua. Just make sure you're not drinking anything when you get to the putt putt. Or it *will* come out your nose.

"Like Red on a Rose' by John O.

TLR's Little Lizzie series is low on angst, and has a too-smart-for-her-own-good baby that always makes me chuckle

I'm sure there are plenty of others - these are just what come to mind that have made me laugh out loud.

Hey. I never read, "Like Red on a Rose." Where did that come from?

Oh, now I remember.

Miscommunication by Ragua. Can't possibly recommend this enough.

You're What? by Favors. Sure, there's some mild angst in the beginning, but that goes away quickly and then it gets amusing.

*slaps you* ...nicely, :D

Didn't you even BETA that?

Sigh. Ignore us. Continue with your regularly scheduled recommendations! :D

"Passionfruit" and "The Firebrand" by Cincoflex were strong influences on me.

edit: JT is off the hook, apparently it was UN-beta'd. And apparently I wrote it while intoxicated... I don't remember that..wait...oh YEAH!

Well yes. I continue to write. And on Fanfiction.Net, for those who want, it is possible to cast a glance at my latest efforts. We arrived to
The Ears of the Elves, chapter Forty-four

And here is the beginning of the whole story.

But, I must say, you could also find something else on Fanfiction.net written by me. If you want.

Most of what I'm reading now delves, at least partially, in angst. But I dug up some stories from ff.net that I remember making me laugh.

I agree.
Those FICs are very funny (and delightful).
