I'd love to see some new Enterprise episodes but I'd like to see more effort put into the writing.

As far as Enterprise on Blu-ray goes, I watched all of the episodes in "hi-def" (720P) on my AppleTV. Some of the first season makeup is not ready for high-definition. T'Pol's eyebrows come to mind.

My big question would be how they deal with bringing it back. Would they try to fill in the gap between Terra Prime and *the_abomination*? And if so, would it be immediately after Terra Prime, or some time a bit further ahead? Or would they want to take off from *the_abomination* and deal with all of that fallout...including that from the fans? If they go with the former, will they try to appease the fans and go with the assumption that many of us cling to, that *the_abomination* represents a very historically inaccurate form of entertainment?

I don't think it will actually happen - there are just so many more logistics and financial issues for a scifi show like Enterprise than something like Arrested Development - but it's an interesting idea. If by some miracle it were to happen then I'd gladly watch, but as Putaro said, the writing (and the consistency) would have to step it up.

EDIT - I didn't realize reference to the finale title was set to change like that...nice!

It would be great to see Enterprise pick up fro Terra Prime, but when I take my rose-tinted glasses off I just can't see it being economically feasible or practical. Once you tear down the sets and all the specialists and actors move on to other jobs, it must be much harder to start again than it would have been to continue.

However, I wonder how soon CGI technology will advance to the point that it's practical to computer generate this sort of thing. At the moment it needs state-of-the-art technology to make something look true-to-life, but low budget animations seem to be improving rapidly. Even video games are getting good enough to tell a story, and that's rendering in real time on a modest spec PC. How much longer before it's practical to produce Final Fantasy quality animation at home?

I am holding on to the hope that I'll see Lerteiran Chronicles on the screen in my lifetime. I just hope it can live up to the quality of special effects that my imagination provided. :)

What's this about?

When I typed in "T A T V" (with no spaces) it changed it to "*the_abomination*" after I hit submit...at least on my screen. Maybe that's a setting I have turned on or something?

No, that's how it happens. You can't write T A T V (without spaces) on the forum, or possibly even the entire web site.

I guess if we were take Braga's advice we'll borrow the blu-ray version from Netflix. I suppose I might do it just for the new material.

How in the heck did you notice the eyebrows? Any healthy male will definitely not give a flying expletive about them eyebrows - not with them catsuites she's wearing

There's a lot of scenes where you can see her regular eyebrows under the makeup and the Vulcan eyebrows going off at an angle. Even discounting mammary distraction it's pretty eye-catching.

Ummm... after seeing what 'Riker' looked like in The Abomination, on the one and only time I watched the thing, I think I'd rather NOT see what nine years (plus however long rebuilding and filming would take) have done to the Enterprise crew.

I don't see it happening anyway, for logistical reasons, but I'd love to see a CGI version. Maybe some day - we can always dream!

I'll hopefully get the Blu-ray sets when they come down to a more realistic price eventually. Have to say I was amused by the eyebrows comments. The reviewers on other sites I've checked out rabbited on about the ship movement looking blurry, and on here we're more interested in in T'Pol's eyebrows ... not to mention other portions of her anatomy!

Love it!

:doubt: I do not know exactly explain why, but I totally agree with this statement. :shifty:
Well yes. I continue to write. And on Fanfiction.Net, for those who want, it is possible to cast a glance at my latest efforts. We arrived to

Yeah, I never understood how no one noticed (or cared) about the eyebrow thing. It's such an easy fix. I'm rather ignorant of how exactly things work on the set of a show like that, but isn't there often a makeup person nearby who is able to fix these things last-minute? Or I'm sure it could have been done in post-production easily enough. But then, consistency was never really at the top of their list, and I guess that extends to T'Pol's eyebrows.

Before HDTV (over here), such things were not terribly detectable on television, but I think a great part of it was that Blalock was much less willing to be shaved or shorn than Leonard Nimoy was. He used to go through a rather tedious make-up process in which individual hairs were glued onto his face to form his Vulcan eyebrows. And if you're already shooting a tight 12-hour day, taking extra time out for new make-up is probably more onerous (and budget-busting) than we think.

But yeah, it's not very nice seeing those real eyebrows under the makeup. I thought her wig didn't look very natural at times, either. (Nor did the overly large falsies, early on.)

I notice in a recent interview at startrek.com someone asked Keating about the pink lipstick or gloss the guys seem to be wearing and he denied any knowledge of it, saying if anything it would have been a little gloss to keep their lips from cracking. But it sure looks like pink lipstick to me, especially in high-def.
