Alelou Season one - re-review

Postby Weeble » Tue Jul 31, 2012 3:15 am

I would suggest that we don't sneak a peak at the previous reviews until AFTER we post a new one.

Here goes.

Nice touch with the Trip POV trying to sort out the chain of command. Also really liked T'Pol's attempts to get Trip to understand that it is a big galaxy out there that will not fit into preconceived notions or moralities. Best part is Trip deciding to make her life difficult. :guffaw: :guffaw:

Could you tell us which Missing Scene in season one you're reviewing, please, so we can read it if we want to and join the discussion?

Episode = Fight or Flight

Really enjoyed the understated arrogance of T'Pol; I could hear "Vulcans, Vulcans uber alles" in the background. I also found it interesting that T'Pol would discuss Hoshi with Trip. Was she sensitive to usurping the XO role or also trying to find her way amongst humans even as humans try to find their way amongst the stars. No need to make comments about the quality of the writing, its Alelou, one of the best! :clap:

Episode = Unexpected

T'Pol was terrific. Not sure about Trip but I am male. His reactions are a bit strange for a male, but if you were trying to make him seem like a raging hormone preggers person, I think you succeeded.

Phlox was fun as well.

Episode = Terra Nova

Vulcan arrogance, its a wonderful thing. Of course I look at it from the human perspective. I guess being deliberate makes them smart. Thankfully the humans and T'Pol blow up sphere 41 a few seasons later and save the pointy eared ones...T'Pol is the perfect VHC rep, Trip is the perfect out of control human.

Weebie, no way in Hell could a human males carry alien baby stuff in them. Their bodies would immediately attack, kill it and eject it from the body. It would be treated like any other foreign object entering the body something to be fought.

Of course I am just a old idiot who doesn't understand such things.

Good reviews though.

The Andorian Incident

The interjected fear of Vulcan retribution is one hell of a harbinger. Forcing T'pol to see her people in this new light was well done.

Great Missing scene

Oh and thanks for the Starbaby suggestion.

Alelou,

I know i seem daffy at times, BUT in your author's notes you recommended Starbaby's "Infinite Diversities" story over at Trip and T'Polers. So i read it and wanted to pass it on.

Sheesh!

><(((º>confused here

Ah. Thanks. I of course completely forgot about it. I guess I should have gone and reread my own notes...
