Speaking of non-apologies, how about T'Pol's little non-apology at breakfast in Harbinger:

I think it means don't start a thread named "Does T'Pol have the hots for Archer?"

It's the "Transwarp girl" part *I* don't get...

Transwarp, actually I have often wondered why the ARcher/T'Pol romance stoires because other than the dreams Archer had (twilight was a dream started by nanites in Archer's Brain, the two events in ANIS were dreams of Archer's) there was never any indication of romantic feelings twards Archer on T'Pol's part. Trip, yes. Archer, no, never. Why these stories where Archer and T'Pol are mates and lovers? Never happened even after Trip's death in the Abomination.

It happens for the same reason why people make alternate pairings in any other fandom... They don't like the canon pairing! People have their reasons. And they're perfectly entitled to their tastes.

This isn't uncommon. It happens in fandoms like CSI, Bones, NCIS, blah blah blah.

Of course they are! Plus it's a valuable diagnostic tool for many mental health professionals. (Show the patient an episode of ENT, determine their preferred paring, and make a diagnosis.) AnT'ers (all three of them) are known to suffer from a variety of extreme cognitive disorders.

Well I don't like to generalize. If I was a part of the CSI: Las Vegas fandom, people would think I have a few "cognitive disorders" because I hate the Grissom/Sara pairing. Guess what I stopped watching the show when they got together. ICK! They're married according to canon! But I still love a good Sara/Nick tale, thank god for fanfic. All I'm saying is I don't think AinT'ers are psycho for not liking TnT.

I think some are loco for hating Trip! I don't hate Grissom.

Ahh... uhm... it was a joke, actually. (At least *I* thought it was funny.)

Plus, all that talk of nicks and grissoms and saras is just so much gobbledy-gook to me.

 Dang and I thought I made a good point. :tears: Oh well, good joke.

I wonder if there's a way to get this topic back on track. But I fear it is one of those topics that is so narrow that there isn't a lot of depth to go into.
