I have finished the first draft, my Daughter, who took a degree in English, willbe here in a few days and she will edit it for me. Then, I might have to call on someone to help me put it into the story. I am so damned Computer illterate and so damned helpless in these things.

Thanks, I'm glad you liked it, it took forever finding a formal dress uniform that large and which showed the full uniform. I'm just sorry I'm not talented enough to know how to get both of those fakes together in a picture. I'm glad your daughter can help edit your story for you. I can't wait to read it (along with your other stories and those of the other people I've been talking to here too!). I know what you meant when you said: "I am so damned Computer illterate and so damned helpless in these things." You and me both!

I'm aware that this thread has been silent for a while but I wanted to say something too.

Though weddings are quite different worldwide, since Trip is from the US it's likely that in case of a human ceremony, T'Pol would research what the local traditions are. However, it's likely that things have changed quite a lot in 150 years time. Remember, the white dress isn't such an old thing; it dates back to Queen Victoria, and though it's still the preferred choice among brides today, it is changing. More and more brides chose colour again, so the white dress could have gone out of fashion in another 150 years. This gives anyone endless possibilities and endless headache!

But basically, if a writer wants T'Pol to be dressed in that white strapless (nightmare) dress featured in every bridal magazine originated on the other side of the Atlantic, it's his or her choice. We don't know what people will wear in the future after all. Personally? I'd not dress T'Pol in a white wedding dress, but then again I wouldn't dress myself in it either. I'm a hopeless 60's lover so I could imagine something like the one below. And it's a bit TOS-ish too.

I read you had decided on silver. I was merely piping in, making things more complicated. ;)
