People have been approaching this from so many angles that the origional point seemed lost. So I was just putting the origional point out there, it wasn't meant to respond to anyone specific. I just thought anyone who might stumble on this might be confused.

This whole subject just came to my head today, while I was out for a jog (10 long miles to be exact). Even though the whole idea of cosmetics is illogical to a Vulcan, I do believe if they hung around humans long enough, they'd give in eventually, and become slightly illogical, albeit nothing major.

This is funny. I never read this thread in 2010, so I never commented on it. Where I live, we have a saying "Act normal, than you acting crazy enough."
Cosmetic surgery when it comes to scars, most people would not have any problems with that. But cosmetic enhancement (think boob/nose/lip jobs)? Unless you're an actress, it isn't something a lot of people would do.

For some reason, I think Vulcans have the same attitude: surgery for medical needs: yes, for just cosmetic needs: no.
