4th post, but not update related:

as there's been more questions about Coridan, I refer you to this quote from Memory Alpha about their bit in the Romulan War:

In the non-canon novel The Good That Men Do, Coridan is referred to as "Coridan Prime", on the verge of developing Warp-7 technology. To prevent such advances from spreading to other Coalition of Planets member worlds, the Romulans launch a vicious attack on Coridan, flying a vessel into the planet at maximum warp. Anti-matter from the suicide attackers' ship mixes with Coridan's abundance of dilithium, causing a fireball that spreads across the planet, killing billions. The planet's population is said to be further depleted by civil wars that continue after the Romulan attack.

Amor est vitae essentia translates as Love is Essental to Life.

That means "delicate variations"? (Just guessing because I never learned Latin).
Love is a verb.

No, it means "There's nothing like change" and is a quote of Cicero.

I am trying to keep as updated as possible, because on my present location internet is very unstable (via GPRS link) at home; at work is somewhat difficult to have sufficient time as I, literally, run through different labs - so I am not posting. But, if I correctly remember the rules of the challenge, shouldn't we stay as much as possible on the cannon? And the story should occur somewhat middle 2156?

The time frame was supposed to be after Terra Prime, so staying in canon is not an issue if we ignore *the_abomination*. We just assume everything that happened on screen through the end of Terra Prime is canon, and then we can do whatever we want as long as the Romulan War starts on time. If we choose NOT to ignore *the_abomination* we'll have to end the story before T&T break up or we'll have a mutiny on our hands, but once again, anything pretty much goes until then, since there's a considerable amount of time between Terra Prime and *the_abomination*.

Okay, I'm just going to list everything we appear to have agreed on, and then the ones that are my interpretations of the suggested, and we can vote, or change, or whatever accordingly.

(definites)
1) The story will be called "The Slopes of Andoria"
2) It must involve Shran being aboard Enterprise for some reason, with the reason for his presence being at the disgression of the author who first writes his presence.
3) Trip and T'Pol must go down to the surface of Andoria, again at the disgression of the author who first writes them on actually on the planet

.....

My own suggestion is also, try to stick to canon as much as possible. The story can (and will) go AU, possibly dip into MU, and a whole host of other things, but we can't suddenly pretend, I dunno, that T'Pol never had the trellium addiction or that the events of "Home" didn't happen. Not saying some minor tweaking can't be made, but try to stick to what was on screen. The suggestions of what season 5 was to entail should be up for grabs as well (if we're going to take Shran, we might as well take the lot) but aren't nessicary. In fact, the less we have any idea what might happen, the better...

Here's the relevants from what we argeed on before we started this mess, if this helps.

It's supposed to be the latin equivalent of the English expression "Holding a tiger by the tail" which is precisely what the Coridians are gonna be doing if they mess with the Romulans, don't you think? ;-)
