Yes, it was quite a thrilling chapter!

73 is up and let me say that one thing I like about Rigil is sometimes the equipment just doesn't work. I hope TnT have a lot of Swifters and some Vicks after this chapter. Regrettably, Rigil writes that there are no more in inventory waiting to be posted.

That's because my poor, defenseless Muse has been abducted in the middle of the night by ninjas. Possibly Mossad operatives who look like Cote de Pablo and Donna Feldman. Or terrifying space monkeys. But there was definitely some ninjaness involved.

That, or she left me for another man, which wouldn't be that big a stretch either.

The strangest idea came to me last night, completely out of the blue. It hit me like a lightning bolt:

What if Trip and T'Pol were stranded on a world with a pre-warp civilization, and the rest of the Enterprise crew thought they were dead and continued with their missions, leaving them behind to have adventures of their own? Wouldn't THAT make a great story?!

It was odd that this idea had an Israeli accent.

Afterwards, I wanted to lay in bed and smoke a cigarette.

Bourbon, Rigel, you need bourbon. Look, you are from Florida - the South. You live in Oklahoma - which to a great degree is the South. All good Southern Authors created best when bourbon influenced. :D

Not much of a drinker, actually. Bourbon ... blech. I can't stand the taste of it.

Although rum ... why is the rum gone?

Alas, she was gone the next morning.

And my watch is missing, and some money from my wallet...

You're lucky Rigil's muse didn't kill you. He likes assassins. :tears:

I was just going to say something about that idea that peace and luv is ruling the Star Trek Universe; I must say that considering that we are talking about humans, basically the same kind of humans we're right now, I don't see how we could get to the kind of humanity implied in the telly series. We recently came out of one of the most horrific centuries in reasonably recorded history (the 17th century is neck to neck with the 20th IMO). We can certainly do better than that, but as long as we have the strive to survive, traits that will help us do so will also trip our attempts to build a long lasting peace. I don't see how that is magically curbed in just 150 years (and quite frankly not ever, at least not completely). I can understand the wish to dream up a better world where humans aren't being at war all the time, but some realism about humanity isn't wrong. Just my 2 öre. 8)

That muse been seen yet BTW? I really like this AU so I hope she comes back home where she belongs (that goes for Endeavour too - and Janus).
