Actually, a really silly plot occurs to me ... if T'Pol tried to get her 'sex education' off some of the erotica sites I've visited she'd be pretty freaked out.

This made me think about an old avatar of yours, Alelou in which you see Trip and T'Pol freaking out, refering to fan fic "you read us doing what?"

So. . .Chapter 21 is posted. I feel like I keep dragging out Trip finding out about Lizzie. . .but it is now imminent.

I forgot to mention this in my review. I thought that T'Pol's being anxious about Trip's scars healing was a wonderful touch. Her fear that if healed, he would seek out a human woman shows how much losing him frightens her. Also his realization that she finds them agreeable had to boost his ego. All that being said I hope the waters help him.

Thank you, Bluetiger. Not only was I inspired by all that Iceland footage on the news - Iceland now equals Andoria in my head - I thought it important, that if TnT are expressing a desire to have children - that Trip's exposure to the Delta radiation and his accident be addressed. It's a little bit of a deux ex machina - healing Andorian waters cure! But, since TnT's lives have been so tough - a little goodness and positivity is definitely on order from them.

I think that the waters will cleanse the radiation from his body - and they will diminish the scars, but they'll never go away completely.

Okay, so Dinah asked a really good question about the most recent chapter.

T'Les and T'Pol only know parts of Tolaris have been found in the river. But the parts they found could be cut off without killing him. So, they don't necessarily see it as proof of his death. Which irks them.

edited to add: And remember, T'Pau send Tolaris to assassinate Reed, who was responsible for Tolaris's wife's death. T'Pau thought it was a logical use of Tolaris, rather than send him for Kolinar. Damn, the plot is really thick. And wait until you see the chapter I'm working on.

I actually thought it was cooler that Tolaris may still be alive, than if there'd been direct confirmation of his death. Leaves more possibilities open. And seriously, as creepy of a thing as he did to TnT, he doesn't deserve a quick, easy death!

The funny part is that I sort of feel sorry for Tolaris in this timeline - like all really good/bad villains - he thinks he's the hero. He thought he was rescuing T'Pol. But she didn't need rescuing.

And in other news, now Trip has another, even bigger reason to want Archer dead. So, that's gotta be dealt with.

TW posted a nice review up on ff.net questioning whether or not Sato would bother with the law against torturing pregnant women and mental defectives (MU political incorrectness there). I say yeah, she's trying very hard to cling to power and even though she'd torture someone who didn't prepare her lunch properly - she'd be very careful about violating a fundamental taboo such as the torture/execution of a pregnant woman. She needs the support of those around her.

Sato is nuts. But she's not totally nuts.

Some people had a question about whether Lizzle could know so early that she was pregnant. Well, Crystalswolf let me know that trace amounts of baby DNA can be found in mama's blood - and I figure in the future - they will be able to test that . Right now, it's not possible.

Man, Trip's gonna blow a gasket when he finds out.

And looks like Reed's coming back...liked that last line about the student (eventually) surpassing the teacher. That sort of thinking fits MU Malcolm.

Oh yeah. Trip is not going to be happy about who his nephew's father is. One little bit. His head with explode. I'm so looking forward to writing the siblings reunite scene. Should be in Chapter 25.

Some people had a question about whether Lizzle could know so early that she was pregnant. Well, Crystalswolf let me know that trace amounts of baby DNA can be found in mama's blood - and I figure in the future - they will be able to test that . Right now, it's not possible.

I totally agree. What I have experienced, they check a certain hormone in your blood - if it reached a certain level, you're pregnant, also they can detect life (heartbeat in the early weeks, movements) very early in your pregnancy. That last one happened to me! BTW, new chapter, did I miss that?

The new chapter does set up all the chess pieces for the finale. Poor TnT are really just pawns in a much, much larger game. But they can take care of themselves.

And while Trip may be royally pissed at Lizzie's choice of baby daddy, she's going to be pretty irked that he turned himself in against her wishes. You know, "I can take care of myself, big brother." But she'll forgive him.

One more strange tidbit.

Sato's treating Trip pretty nicely since she needs him. I got the inspiration for this from, of all places, The Sound of Music. The Nazis wanted Captain Von Trappe to serve in their military and be happy about it. And so they were going to give him rank and respect - but made it clear he had no choice in the matter. And Sato's using T'Pol, who she doesn't need as much, to needle him. It's a big mind f**k.
