VOTE FOR CONNOR!!

Postby Aquarius » Mon Mar 22, 2010 1:23 am

Entertainment Weekly has a poll going about who should be the actor to play Captain America. I looked at the choices and said 'LAME!!"--but you can write in suggestions.

So...I can think of one actor I'd like to see as a super hero. ;-) (OMG, does this mean SPANDEX??? )

So go write him in! Captain America poll

Sorry for the double post, but I just had to say--

I've been checking in on the poll since posting this, and it's been fun to watch people rally for Connor. His votes start on page 13.

I heard that the role had been offered to Evans, but it hasn't been accepted yet do to a possible conflict, so it's not a done deal yet.

Um...you get the possibility of Connor being considered for the lead in a blockbuster film???

Excuse me but isn't CT a little too <cough>old<cough> for Captian America?

Sorry, but I don't think CT is muscular enough to play Captain America. He'd need to bulk up so much for the role he'd be practically unrecognizable. Either that or they'd have to use computer graphics. They need a body builder for the role. Preferably one who can act better than both Ferrigno and Schwartzeneggar combined.

I thought Johnny Flame from Fantastic 4 was going to do it? And sorry for being a "party pooper" but George Clooney, Val Kilmer, and Micheal Keaton were all too old for Batman. Thank God they got Christian Bale a man who is the right age to do it. I love George Clooney, just like I love CT doesn't mean I want a superhero that is too old.

The last report I'd read said it'd been offered to Evans, but he hadn't accepted yet, so it's not a done deal.

I think he'd be great. Exhibit A, compliments of Enterprise 19 at st.com:

Any way...could they SERIOUSLY consider Connor this late in the game? Doubtful, since other people have already read for it...but stranger things have happened in the entertainment biz.

The main thing: this is meant to be (cough!!) fun (cough!!).

'Sides, I think Connor is awesome, I don't mind being part of his "street team", creating some buzz about him...so maybe someone will notice him for another part later.

Oh no doubt the man can act, no doubt the man is extrememly goodlooking, no doubt he could do it. I just think he's about 5 years too old. Would it be nice for him to be fully "main-stream"? Sure. I just think he's too old. So I won't vote for him.

If Hugh Jackman, Liev Schreiber, and Gerard Butler... what was my point again?

Oh yeah, if those guys can bulk up the way they did, Connor Trinneer can. That being said, I do think he's a little too old for that particular role too.

But as many comics-turn-movies that will inevitably come, I'm sure there will be plenty of roles perfect for him. I even know of one role he would've been perfect for if the movie wasn't destined to become a total piece of crap. Oh well, I'm going to update my dream page for the movie anyway!

I think it's a lot of fun to create a bit of a buzz. I wonder if he has any idea what's going on.

He has over 1,000 fans on facebook. I don't know if he is even aware of that, though. Someone should tell him next time they see him. He's got a lot of fans from all over the world.

Okay, maybe he's bit mature for Captain America, but I'd love to see him in a big, juicy role. Too bad he wasn't in Tom Hank's "The Pacific." I think he'd be great.

Yes, Connor would be great in Pacific or any War Movie. He can Act and express emotions well. Give him some stubble and dirty him up a little and he would be believeable as a tired scared G.I. trying to stay alive in Jungle warfare.

Too late, already voted.
Age is irrelevant as far as Captain America goes. There is no age range for Superheroes.

I used to collect Comic books. Hey I am not proud of what I did...
sigh.
Anything we can do to get Conner's name in front of the public is good for his career.
There is no such thing as bad press.
Miracles do happen.
