Can someone give me a clue why every movie seems to require at least 30 cases of murder and everyone seems to carry at least an AK47. Don' get it really :dunno: What sort of kick do people get out of seeing other people being slaughtered :vulcan:

I believe it's the male 18-30 something demographic. Not MY cup of tea! Glad to see JB has a nice movie role, though.

http://www.legendoftheseeker.org/ gave a link to "the exclusive look at some new detailed casting sides for three future episodes - the titles are yet to be confirmed..."
2.13 - Princess
2.14 - Bound
2.15 - Creator
http://www.facebook.com/album.php?aid=1 ... 806&ref=nf
These scanned pages include Nicci's story at two pages.
The beginning of it:
SPOILER!!!:
"When I was a young novice, all I wanted to do was serve the Creator
And become a sister of the Light.
To prove I was worthy, I volunteered
To go on a service mission and give aid and comfort to men in prison.
(a beat; then)
There was one prisoner…He liked
To hear me sing hymns. He said when
He heard my voice, he could feel the
Light of the Creator pouring over him.
He asked to pray with me,
Alone. I told the guard it would be all right. As soon as he left…
The man forced himself on me.

Richard stops tending to her face and simply listens.
NICCI (cont'd)
I went back to the Prelate and told
Her what happened. I admitted I
Wanted to kill the man – I was so
Ashamed. But the Prelate said the
Creator had given me a great
Opportunity to "grant the sacred
Gift of forgiveness."

Richard reacts.
NICCI (cont'd)
If I could bring this prisoner into
The light, then I'd be ready to
Become a Sister…

I did not read these books. Is it the same story as in this script?

Haven't read the books either but from things I've read by fans of the series it doesn't follow them. Same character names very different actions/personalities. Seems much lighter on TV than the books appear to have been. Still don't know if JB has role or if it was recast. She was there to film according to a twitter she sent out but that's the last anyone has said on it. Rest seem to be unsubstantiated rumors.

I can't believe it, I began to watch this series just out of curiosity and now I'm hooked! This is the worst!

On the other hand, Star Wars + fantasy + bondage = how could anybody not love it? :faint:

Star Wars? What's Star Wars got to do with it?

I think Legend of the Seeker is very Joseph Campbell influenced like Star Wars, but with a fantasy aesthetic plus bondage imagery.

Especially if it turns out to be + Jolene Blalock  as well.

Man, maybe I must try and get hooked on it too...

Ah. Okay. The farmboy is destined to save the world, and "Luke, I am your father" becomes "Richard, I am your brother". I get it. Finally. Bear with me. Sometimes I'm sorta slow on the uptake after work.

Oh, Jolene in a very tight leather suit and with that big dild-- agiel in her hands. That could be interesting.

But I'm sure you could like the show for Tabrett Bethell (beware, the link is not dial upfriendly), although she doesn't appear until the last episode of the first season.

I hooked for shirtless!Richard. And of course, I loooove Bridget Regan's hair.

Don't worry, I understand. You didn't need to make the connection, anyway. It's a very silly show after all :D

Not bad at all! And having Charisma Carpenter  there also helps.

Showrunner Ken Biller did for E! Online the spoiler interview:
http://uk.eonline.com/uberblog/watch_wi ... chard.html
The Sisters of the Light and the Sisters of the Dark: "Jolene Blalock is sexy and fantastic in two episodes that are part of a big arc in January. She plays a very mysterious character called Sister Nicci. We don't know for a while if we should trust her or not. Richard begins to manifest powers and abilities that he didn't know he had, and in order to deal with those, he has to separate from the group. He goes off with the Sisters of the Light to a place called the Palace of the Prophets. I'm very excited for the audience to see the episodes about the Sisters of the Light and the Sisters of the Dark. It's very intriguing mythology that gets at the heart of whether or not Richard is going succeed on his quest and whether or not he's the master of his own fate. I think the show kind of gets better and better as the season goes on. Right after Christmas we have a really terrific run of really exciting episodes."

I guess I am going to have to start watching Legend of the Seeker. Like I need another TV show to distract me from other things I need to do! I haven't read the novels it is based on, but isn't it loosely based on Tarot? That is of interest to me as one of the options I have been exploring to keep employed once my current job is over, is (now don't laugh!) to read Tarot for people at a local occult store. So I am studying and taking tests through the American Tarot Society to prepare for this. I would love to see Jolene again in any TV series but one connected with Tarot does interest me all the more.
Working on a major fan fic project. Two-thirds done. Hope to put it up in the not TOO distant future.
