February '09 Word Prompt!

Big-time thanks to everyone who contributed to January's "Scream" prompt. I know a few are still out there in beta (including mine) so we're still gonna see some more. In the meantime, remember "it's never too late", so if you ran out of time or didn't get an idea until January was over, you are NOT a day late or a dollar short! The purpose of these prompts is to get people writing, so if you see an older one that inspires you, no one's gonna tell you no! :D

For those who haven't done this before, this is how it works: I give you a word, and you write a story based on whatever images that word conjures up. There is no minimum or maximum length, and you can tell any kind of story you want to, as long as it's about Trip and/or T'Pol. You can either post it to this thread, or submit it for archival--just make sure we know you did it because we all want to read it! 8)

Since my birthday's coming up, I'm gonna be a little self-indulgent with the word choice:

WATER

Nice to see a prompt again, Aquarius. :D Mmm.... water..
sea, beach, nice breeze, Delta works, great engineering, discovering water world-planets, walking in the desert without water, waterpolo ( :( )....yip! great word again.

I could, but that would delay "Body and Katra" some more, so I might have to make a tough choice.

Or, I could try to work the rainstorm thing into "Body and Katra" and post it as an excerpt, if it works out that way...

So many stories to tell, so little time... :?

I wrote a little piece of three pages, called Water world. It's about a visit to a water planet by Trip and T'pol. If anyone is interested, I can certainly use a beta for this story. :D

If you still need a beta, you can PM me with the story. I don't have a lot of time what with uni, but three pages is doable, and it sounds really neat.
