I've read some stories that make this colony Vorik's birthplace.

Uh, thanks, Evcake, I guess I can take NC17 stories. I usually don't seek them out, but I even have one attempt at writing one that I am about to submit (Trip and T'Pol one). So I guess a Vorik NC17 would be ok - he IS awfully cute. I even toyed with the idea of a story about him finding another mate on Voyager after Torres pushed his face in the dirt when he went to find her on that planet. I'll have to see if this NC17 is about that! Thanks!

LOL, I see that it is. And Vorik gets a Human mate! Those Vulcan males just can't keep their hands off the Human females, it seems. Not that I am complaining much, mind you.

Perhaps a sect of Vulcans that didn't go in for all that modern techonology and who lives in the deep desert, finds the child (I presume this is a young child who can't tell them anything about its family) wandering, its parents killed during a sandfire storm that came up unexpectedly, and takes the child in?

I just had a rather strange mental picture of "Amish" Vulcans.

Sorry. Couldn't resist and I know you guys love Vorik and all...

I have this idea in my head that because there is no Vulcan priest on board Voyager that there was never any indication that his accidental bond with B'Elanna was ever broken. I thought it would make for some interesting conflict if (like in some TnT fics) his possessive instincts would kick in after B'Elanna marries.

LOL that would be funny - but no. Especially since Vulcan's tend to keep their marriage rituals private and Tom and B'Elanna's wedding probably had the entire ship in attendance.

So... actually the story wasn't originally intended to be about Vorik.

I got an evil idea after reading Samantha Quinn's story "Consequences" and then watching Voyager's "Body and Soul" - so after I got Samantha's permission to use the story of Sorik and the Vulcan prince, I typed up part 1 of "The Purge" not realizing until after I published it that I set up another mystery (ala, who gave Tom the information on Sorik? Does it have to be Neelix?) I decided it was going to be Vorik, who cleverly uses Tuvok's Pon Farr to try to knock off poor Tom...

I haven't recieved my books yet, but I understand the Nisus colony also includes Klingons. Non-warrior caste, I assume.

Constantly searching for stories about Vulcans, I found this:
