Elessar' s Classics
I like very much the "Elessar' s Classics" section and now some time passed since the last update.
What about the idea to propose some suggestions? Or, simply, to say one another which long story you prefer or, better, you like more?
For example: I believe that "Deep Blue Sea" by Y2Kelly is very considerable, so that you can consider it as a "classic".

Well yes. I continue to write. And on Fanfiction.Net, for those who want, it is possible to cast a glance at my latest efforts. We arrived to
The Ears of the Elves, chapter Forty-four
And here is the beginning of the whole story.
But, I must say, you could also find something else on Fanfiction.net written by me. If you want.

I believe that was one of the first ones that Elessar picked, actually.

Was this the army that invaded your country, ma'am? No, officer, they were taller than that...
How about this one? I'm not sure--get them to march up and down a bit...

Oh! Sorry.
But, in this case, I see that Elessar and I are on the same way (And I believe we have many companions).
However, if I may, I invite the people to do this play.

Re: Elessar' s Classics
Has MissAnThropic's Undesired been up? It's a good one. And it's author seems to have resurfaced over at HoT, apparently without knowledge of TrS.
Is there a list of what's already been used?
I also vote for Nikitee's Repairs, an all-time fave of mine.

It's flavored with passionfruit
an appropriate ingredient, don't you think?

I'm pretty sure Repairs has been selected already as well. I don't know the full list, Elessar changes that part of the page himself--I've never had anything to do with it. I know Cry Havoc by MissAnnThropic was selected, but I don't think the one you suggested has been picked.
ETA: Here's a link to a thread listing at least a few of the previous stories he chose...

Thanks! Hmmm...how about Fevered by Cincoflex, and for laughs, Distracted's Crossogre.

Oh yes, you are right.
And I like also "We Grieve".
There is, in both stories, a capacity to express very much with no much words. A really valuable quality.
Nevertheless, in this play, I think, above all, about stories with a large breath. (too without to exclude the others).
"Miscommunication", for example, by Ragua (already cited by Elessar in his "Classics"). Among other things, this story has the qualities of the freshness and of the humour. I read it on a breath, enjoying it. And the final: a "crescendo" by Rossini.
And by the way: I am thinking about "Favors", who, in my opinion, wrote some very attractive stories, fresh, agile, perhaps ingenuous, but so sweets and amusing, full of optimism, well done: " "Bound and Determined - Bridging the Gap - Soul Search Complete - Tripidation - You’re What? - We’re What? - When the Enterprises collide".
I would like reading some new story of Favors.

Re: Elessar' s Classics
I do not manage to choose: “Soul Search Complete” or “You’re What?”.
And the amusing uproar of “When the Enterprises Collide"?

Re: Elessar' s Classics
I like Soul Search Complete best, but the "plasma bugs" in You're What are a really nice idea. The T'Les in that one is interesting, too.
When Enterprises Collide is so convoluted...but yes, funny.

Re: Elessar' s Classics
I don't know... I just read You're What?. There were some great lines, but a) I found T'Pol overly emotional and b) I was driven crazy by "Ensign Soto" and "Trillium."

Re: Elessar' s Classics
Well, "Unintended Consequences" is surely a great small story, undoubtedly sad, but vivid with hope. It reminds me of another similar story, but I do not manage to locate it. Can someone help me?
And with regard to T'Pol "overly emotional" in "You're What?". Well, in my opinion, T'Pol is "overly emotional". She does not know it, but the other peoples knows it.
And then: perhaps it is the pleasure to find the emotional appearance of the Vulcans the hidden light reason because of they are attracting us.
One of the intriguing things in the love story between Trip an T'Pol is that she must fight in the middle of two opposite feelings: the feeling of not to want to feel feelings and the feeling of to have feelings. And, to the end, she inevitably must succumb.
Obviously, this is my opinion.
