anyway, I edited the title to Copula inter Duos. Copula has more of a "rope, leash, grapnel; (fig) bond" feeling than vinculum, which is more "bond, fetter, chain, prison" and, obviously, probably more negative than you really wanted.

And, as always, a reminder: you finish a chapter, you send it to me, I beta, you get it back, you okay it, I send a copy to the next person in line, and submit it in do time.

Way behind - limited time and all that - and totally random but can I ask why chapter one's title was shorted to Semper Fi as opposed to the full Semper Fidelis? Just curious...

I'd like to point out to the upcoming authors that our readers are starting to complain that we're not addressing previous plot points when we write our chapters. I'd like to remind everyone that if we're going to write a coherent story each author should re-read the entire previous story (and not just the immediate previous installment) in order to get the big picture and work the main story plot into their chapter. If all we do is take up from our immediate predecessor without incorporating elements of all of the previous chapters then we'll lose the plot and leave our readers dangling. For example, the following questions have yet to be addressed. I think that future authors should at least attempt to develop one of these while they're introducing their own elements into the story.

1.Who actually attacked Weytahn and why?
2.What's happening back on Weytahn and how can the Governor General of the colony justify abandoning his post to run off to Andoria with a ship full of humans?
3.Will there be repercussions for his actions?
4.Where are Shran and Jhamel?
5.Why aren't they on Andoria?
6.If they are, are they leading another team?
7.What is that team doing?
8.Who planted the bomb on Andoria and why?
9.Are they the same people that blew up Weytahn?
10.Was the away team deliberately led into a trap?
11.If so, by whom and for what reason?
12.What influence does Jhamel have with the Andorian high command? (a reference to an installment that hasn't been posted yet, but it will need to be addressed)
13.Where are the "slopes" in the title? Will we get there eventually?
14.Andoria presumably has sensors capable of detecting Enterprise and its landing parties. What will happen when the Andorian military/government finds out that there's not only a human ship in orbit, but that this ship has sent armed parties to the surface of the planet without notifying the authorities or asking permission?

That should be enough to chew on for starters. You guys are welcome to re-read the chapters yourselves and come up with other questions, but those are what came to mind for me when I read them. Carry on.
