Re: Writing

Are there still TnT writers around and if so, are you writing any stories or do you need some encouragement to get started? I know one of them was lurking and pm-ed me last week. IDK if he's doing anything tho. I've got half an outline of a post Terra-Prime story that completely ignores the Riker b...

Re: How much older ...

The other day I was watching an artist's impression of what might have happened leading up to Jon's big speech Are you talking about that TNG episode where there was this holodeck program and Riker ate the engineer for breakfast after Troi warned him not to? Anyway, T'Pol is totally uncomfortable w...

"I want to be the cream filling of a TnT oreo"?

JK. I think you could safely make up anything for that.

Re: Three stages of bigotry displayed in Enterprise

I have the same idea. Starfleet was a great idea, however, the idea became more important than an individual. In creating an enemy (Vulcans) and bringing the message over and over again (probably helped by a press who forgot that their first duty is to ask the tough questions) the idea of Starfleet...

Re: I Just Rewatched ____ and Noticed ____

I just rewatched Terra Prime and noticed that during Archer's speech he was looking right at Trip &T'Pol whe he said, "And yet, the more I've experienced, the more I've learned that no matter how far we travel, or how fast we get there, the most profound discoveries are not necessarily beyo...

For info on Trip: http://memory-alpha.wikia.com/wiki/Charles_Tucker_III

For info on Captain Archer:

Lots of good backstory on those pages.

Re: How much older ...

When in doubt, I always go to http://memory-alpha.wikia.com - It's the go-to spot for all things Trek. If memory-alpha doesn't have it, you either need to start reading the actual scripts, or making up shit :D

Archer's YOB is 2112
Trip's YOB is 2121

21-12=9

So a 9 year difference.

Re: Another reason the Abomination was trash

Kevin Thomas Riley wrote:I don't understand. There was no episode after Terra Prime!

But I get what you mean. Maybe your DVD also came with an additional TNG episode like mine. I thought that was just a mistake on the manufacturer's part. I never bothered with it. ;-)

No worries then. I stand corrected.

Re: Another reason the Abomination was trash

Was it wrong that I told my husband that Terra Prime was the last episode and then shipped that thing right back to dvd.com before he ever learned the truth?
I feel like I did the right thing...

Re: Three stages of bigotry displayed in Enterprise

Maybe. That is a valid theory. Unfortunate we were never told what their actual word for word policies were and I don't think either of our theories are what B&B were thinking @ the beginning of the series: I think they were really just trying to make Archer edgy and angsty and just ended up mak...

Re: Polly Farr and season V?

And T'Pring was probably already bonded to Stonn. I read somewhere that the actress actually played her like she was concealing a pregnancy. Anyhow, more on T'Pring here: http://memory-alpha.wikia.com/wiki/T%27Pring I want to note that I really hate how Trek novelists handle her. They always act lik...

Re: Polly Farr and season V?

Well, according to the officially licensed Star Trek Encyclopedia, Spock was born in 2230 and experienced his first pon farr ( Amok Time ) in 2267. That makes him 37 at the time, which is quite old for a Vulcan. But then he himself also states that he'd hoped that he might be spared this, presumabl...

Re: Polly Farr and season V?

I suppose you could think of it that way, panyasen, since it is said to begin with the males. I've usually thought of it a dam breaking under pressure. The Vulcan emotional barriers being the dam and pent up emotion being the water as it's held back, and the Pon Farr being the water after the dam br...
