Re: Writing

by 73Bruin » Wed Feb 28, 2018 ... I moved this over from another thread since this deals with writing. I hope that's OK. I have started to write again, but it is VERY slow going. When I read over what I've written, it sounds lousy -- thin and rather lifeless. :banghead: I guess I just have to keep ...

Re: Writing

I keep an eye on new works under Star Trek: Enterprise but don't recall seeing that name. The vast majority of Ent stories there seem to be slash. That is true. However, I have found I can bypass most of the slash by using the relationship filter. There is a Trip and T'Pol pairing there that has ov...

Re: Writing

A number of new authors are posting on An Archive of Our Own that did not post here including Amberlioness. I have also seen some authors who left this site for reasons unknown to me, like Erieann.

Re: Randomness

Dinah:

I really love your Briar Patch series. Is another chapter likely to ever be published? I haven't found anything past what is posted here.

Re: How much older ...

The other day I was watching an artist's impression of what might have happened leading up to Jon's big speech, and noticed that it showed Jon giving T'Pol a hug before he went on stage. And perhaps T'Pol was there and perhaps Jon did hug her. Anyway, it seemed to me that Jon whispered something in...

Re: Anyone watching "The Orville"

Actually I like the Orville and have watched the entire first season. I found the early episodes somewhat cheezy, but thought that they got a lot better as the season went on. Yes some stuff is recycled but the vast majority of Sci-fi that gets produced into the non-written form is derivative. To me...

I have PM'd you as requested. Sorry for the delay but things are so quiet here that I only check the forums occasionally.

Re: Star Trek: Discovery

I have a hard time seeing the program making it, via CBS Online (especially if its commercial free). I could see it getting picked up by Netflix or a similar service.

New Story References

Since we are still lacking a means of pubishing new stories, I believe it makes sense for our authors to provide links to their works on other sites. Once we get back up and publish these stories, I will remove these links. Authors please send me your links via PM's. 1) World of Ice - Chapter 10 by ...

Putaro

I believe it that the site is largely written in PHP using MySQL as a database. I know the forum uses PHPBB. I suggest you PM, Elessar (and cc me, 73Bruin). He will probably want some background info. He can probably provide much more detail then I can.

Re: Writing

To Cap'n Frances and Panyasan: I would love to post your stories, unfortunately the Story Management function is down (and has been down since early January). At this point we do not have an ETA for when or if this feature will be back up. The story management function was custom developed by a a ge...
