Re: What inspires you?
Heh. I don't see T'Pol as a Dr. Who sidekick. Hoshi, maybe... with Malcolm as the doctor. 8) YES! THIS!!!! (PLOT HIPPO with a TARDIS appears!) :vulcan: Go for it, Lady Rainbow . I sense a crossover coming. But.... "Plot Hippo"? Huh? :vulcan: Plot bunny on steroids.

Eh, not really. They're people who basically travel with the Doctor and share his adventures. Not all the Companions had romantic inclinations w/the Doc, though there were a couple who did.

Movies and old literature inspires me. Today even the lego of my kids inspired me. We were at a toy museum and my daughter ask hubs to build her a robot of lego. I couldn't stay behind and when we were finished we both said at the same time "'Destory family Robinson" ( Lost in [/i[i]]spac...

Re: A Mirror Cracked Discussion Thread
Wow. And it's Archer's.
Man, Trip's gonna blow a gasket when he finds out.
And looks like Reed's coming back...liked that last line about the student (eventually) surpassing the teacher. That sort of thinking fits MU Malcolm.

Re: Shadow and Echoes Series discussion thread
Yeah, just how is V'Ren is related to T'Pol? Those Vulcan family trees are really complicated. And don't worry, Hoshi (and by extension, Malcolm) is also in for some intrigue in the next few chapters. And I do agree with your opinion on Carson, WG ! It seemed to be the appropriate last nam...

Re: Shadow and Echoes Series discussion thread
Well, I'll say that my only concern right now is for the welfare of baby Tucker. I think you may have been reading some of the ongoing discussions on how a hybrid pregnancy might proceed - and make very good use of them! *nods and winks* And TnT will have some help with a possible artificial womb f...

Re: Shadow and Echoes Series discussion thread
Chapter 5 now up! Thanks to Aquarius and Dinah for the betas, and of course, JustTripn for the previous (and ongoing) betas! :happyjump:  Yeah, that was an allusion to Hoshi's latent telepathic ability. I figured she might pick up certain emotions/thoughts under unusual circumstances, but it do...

Re: jT's E2 Series
With Sarah (my youngest), she slept in a bassinet right next to us. With the other two, Hubs insisted on the crib in a separate room. We had major disagreements on this issue.

Re: Trip Speaking Vulcan
Just read it. I agree it's an excellent story. It reminded me of my own parents and one of their closest friends. My parents are from the Philippines...Dad's from a fisherman's family and Mom's from a VERY well-to-do family (her father was the police chief of their medium-sized town. Yeah,...

I taught English as a Second Language to middle/high school students and adult students. And German to graduate students at the University of Virginia. I grew up hearing my parents speaking Filipino (Tagalog), but only spoke English to me and my sisters. I can comprehend Tagalog better than I can sp...
