Re: Trippin’ With “Older T’Pol"
I am still on the opinion that T'Pol used the 'exploration' as an excuse to relieve Trip of being (apparently, because of his difficulty to address the subject) guilty (of having sex with her - a fellow officer), calling all the guilt to herself - didn't work, of course...

Re: What's in a name?
Hey, if it makes you feel any better, I don't have a single Jennifer in any of my classes this semester. Not even a Jenna or a Jen. Maybe it's taking a little rest. On the other hand, I have multiple Ashleys, Taylors, Brittanys, Dans and Isiahs. Interesting, but there is usually a pattern for the o...

Well, for any communications engineer, it appears the lobes of a classical dipole-antenna... But it would be extremely small, due to the wavelength of the gamma's... Maybe will give some support to fiction subspace-radio (although gamma's are still limited by the velocity of light). http://www.nasa....

Exactly. Words have different connocations. I have feelings for you." but one can have feelings for nay number of things as one can Love any number of things. They are too generic. For a vulcan perhaps the Vulcan language is more precise. In Harbinger T'Pol never admitted to having "feeli...

Re: A little love makin’ never hurt anybody, Human or Vulcan
Darn those primitive NX-01s! I know I am diverting the subject, but I never liked 'Minefield' and the Aenar subplot because they broke the TOS (& TNG) established basis. I feel that with cloaking devices, the R.W. would have finished with a victory of the Romulans. It is hard to accept a whole ...

Re: Trippin’ With “Older T’Pol"
Either that or T'Pol was afraid she'd permanently creep out young Trip with that goddawful old age make-up... LOL!! Okay the makeup was bad, but she was about 233 years old. Give the girl a break. I wondered too if HE knew she was there. I say yes because younger T'Pol discussed the solution with h...

Re: A little love makin’ never hurt anybody, Human or Vulcan
Welcome to the forum, tambo2063 .... I assumed when they said no one had seen a Romulan in 100 years that meant no one had seen a Romulan ship. But given the crew's total shock at how the Romulans look, it's fairly clear that any knowledge Starfleet may have had about the matter had never spread to...

Re: What can T'pol say to trip that is special
It is interesting how the discussion spreads out. My original feeling is that, when T'Pol claims the 'mate' question, she is not making reference to the fact they have done sex (that, on my humble opinion, was not absolutely limited to the displayed first night) but really that they mated because of...

Re: What's in a name?
What other names do writers have for our couple and their children (NIcknames included?) I usually assume that in more developed societies (as I expect both from Vulcan and Earth in XXII century) couples will be more linked because of their feelings one to the other, rather than due to formal marri...

Re: The Upsetting News Thread
If hospice is involved I'm sure that your friend is in good hands, Linda. Their whole aim is comfort care. She'll have peaceful quiet, relief of pain, and her family around her at the end. I agree. My sister in law passed through the same pattern about 2 months ago, due to an uterus cancer that spr...

Re: Challenge Idea
Or we could allow each remaining author to choose one topic to resolve. If we have three more people left to write a chapter after you (wasn't it Enerdhil, ginamr and panyasan?), each of you could deal with one of the four topics. With up to six pages each to work with, you guys could do justice to...

Re: Challenge Idea
The final chapter was not supposed to be written by panyasam (end of this round)? As for the epilogue, it will depend on how the last round will cover the remaining (and newly inserted) topics. I had an idea for an epilogue, but I'm not sure it will fit the current trend.

Re: Challenge Idea
I am trying to keep as updated as possible, because on my present location internet is very unstable (via GPRS link) at home; at work is somewhat difficult to have sufficient time as I, literally, run through different labs - so I am not posting. But, if I correctly remember the rules of the challen...
