Re: Once Upon a Time?
I just started watching 'Once Upon a Time in Wonderland' and I'm enjoying it (so far). I've only seen the first three episodes on Hulu, but it's pulled me in. It's your basic quest/journey tale, with Alice on a mission to find her lost love (the genie Cyrus) aided by the knave of hearts (a character...

I just calculate the time left before Christmas in microseconds. That way procrastinating doesn't seem so bad.

Re: My VOY reviews
A lot of things in TV scifi make no sense unless you're thinking of the 18-34 male demographic. And I suspect they even got THAT wrong (there being, of course, no way for me to prove this assertion). My belief is that the 18-34 male demographic would have been just fine with T'Pol in a Starfleet un...

Re: More Advice Required Please?
What Alelou said... But I'd have to ask if it is instrumental to the plot that Enterprise get involved? If so, then you owe it to your readers to make darn sure we understand WHY Enterprise is coming down on one side versus the other. Probably any intervention you describe is likely to generate *som...

Re: CX Reviews
CX,
Thanks for the heads up. You just saved me the cost of a DVD rental.
A science fiction movie with a stupid premise and stupid science and lazy writing... \
Why am I not shocked?

Re: My VOY reviews
KTR, I love your reviews. They are witty, informative, well-written and, as an added bonus, I mostly agree with your conclusions. Personally, of the TNG, DS9 and VOY triad, Voyager was my favorite. I think this is because of Paris, Torres, 7of9 and the doctor. Janeway was OK; I certainly didn't find...

Re: Is that real science fiction or did you just translate i
Some "translation" is a good thing for mass audiences. It helps them connect with the story. Distracted is spot on here. I'm a pretty hard-core SF guy, but even I appreciate a little 'translation' here and there. If your settings and characters are TOO alien and unfamiliar, you'd better d...

Re: Status and Support
Sometimes writing is like pulling your own teeth. I know what i want to have happen in the next couple of chapters but when I actually try to write it, it keeps coming out flat. I have a different problem. Sometimes the words just flow onto the page, and they are BRILLIANT and I think, "Wow th...

Re: Today
I'm certain he would have had MUCH to say about my latest chapter, just as I'm certain I would have found some of what he said completely outrageous. Yet the give and take was always so much fun! There's a little less spice on this board without him.
