Re: Member pics

Thanks everyone for commenting! He worked real hard for this achievement and there were many people who dropped out before completing their training. We are proud of him and glad to see him after five months of only letters. We hope this achievement will spur him on to more successes in life.

Re: Member pics

My grandson with his gear packed to leave Ft. Leonard Wood. His dad helping to carry one bag and his sisters holding his hands. Mom behind trying to be funny giving one of them bunny ears. I am walking backwards trying not to trip as I take photos. Dylan graduated from Army military police training ...

Re: Randomness

The Parrot of War is more destructive than the Bunnies of War...there is absolutely no place the winged one cannot reach. He is the original Bird of Prey - the Klingons even copied his green color.

Re: Randomness

Okay, I get it. So no direct uploading photos to Tris for a couple of reasons. Distracted has offered to interface with me to photobucket. Thanks! But maybe I will give it one more try myself. And just to aggrivate me more, when I go to Firefox, I find I must now open a membership in Google to get o...

Re: Randomness

Well, as far as photobucket is concerned, I already tried the img and copy thing. That doesn't work for me like it used to and I am not sure why other people seem to be able to use it. So frankly, I give up. I will just stick with things that are less frustrating. :doubt: Maybe the techs for this si...

Re: Randomness

I have not been to photobucket for awhile and it is completely changed. I no longer know how to deal with it. I am trying to copy a photo from it to Triaxian Silk. It is not working. :bitch: And I have even forgot how to put it here. Do you use "Img"? Or can you now put a photo here direct...

Re: My pictures from Scotland

Sigh, such beauty! I keep meaning to get over to Scotland to visit. I still have relatives there that I keep in touch with, even though it was a hundred years ago when my grandparents immigrated to New York in 1913.

Beautiful photos, thanks for sharing them! Somehow, they remind me a bit of northern Wisconsin.

Re: The Happy News thread

Teaching middle school? That will keep him busy. And if he gave his parents a hard time at that age, it will be poetic justice, I think. :)

Re: Randomness

I didn't know where to put this, so I am putting it here. This news article, well the whole news story, (in the vernacular of the 1960s-1970s) 'really freaked me out'. How could three women be held captive FOR TEN YEARS in a residential neighborhood and not have someone discover the situation or one...

Re: The Happy News thread

I will miss Kotik too. And I am confused. He was upset that my grandson joined the U.S. Army and was in basic training. But now he goes off to Syria to fight. I wish I could have a dialog with him to understand his logic about this. But if such conversations are loaded with intense emotion and blue ...

Re: Oblivion - *Warning! Spoilers!*

I haven't seen this movie, but this discussion is making me interested in it. We don't go to movies much as Jim, with his eye problem has to sit close to the screen and I get a neck ache from doing that, LOL. The money vs. time problem is difficult. Now that both Jim and I are retired, we have to wa...
