Re: Personality Test Poll
EntAllat, what kind of online misunderstandings do you study? I find that fairly fascinating, not only for a site like this, but also as someone who might be teaching a purely online course one of these days. Actually I study (or did - I haven't done research in two years now) the formation of comm...

Re: Personality Test
Double Post. Introverted 89 percent, sensing 1 percent. Moderate thinking and judging. Does that mean I am an insensisitive Introvert? I see Distracted has the same ISTJ so m I am in good company. LOL. No, "sensing" mean you navigate and understand the world primarily through the here and...

Re: Personality Test Poll
Technically I'm an XNFJ - I reliably test out equally "I" and "E", which means that some days I get all my energy from being around and interacting with people and other days I'd just as soon you people leave me alone while I meditate on top of a mountain somewhere. :-) And I am ...

Re: Calling All Cooks
I had to do some major overhaul to a freezer a few days ago and cleared out some space by throwing most everything into a slow cooker with some left over belgian-style ale and then hoped for the best. It turned out great! Here's the "recipe", such as it is for those of you who'd like somet...

Re: Drabble Section?
I've no opinion on the topic one way or another. The current organization by TnTishness (it's a perfectly cromulant word) is fine but, to be honest, any organization scheme works for me. Reading this thread, it seems I have the opposite reaction as a few folks here: It's the longer stories that give...

Re: Accident on Transformers 3 set
But an accident Sept. 1 during the filming of "Transformers 3" left her permanently brain damaged, paralyzed on her left side and her left eye stitched shut, according to her attorney and a lawsuit filed Tuesday in Cook County Circuit Court. [...] After nearly a month in intensive care at...

So that's two times cracked ribs, a mugging and a case of food poisoning all in one year. I think I'm officially effed  Whoa. I'd avoid skydiving this year if I were you. ;-) On the otehr hand, I'd say this officially means that next year will be a banner year for you. Go buy a lottery ticke...

That's freakin' awesome. I've never seen Trinneer do comedy like that.

My neighbor is strumming the guitar and singing.
That would be nice on such a gorgeous day like this except, from the sounds of it, his cat is slowly dying an agonizing, horrible death while being beaten with said guitar.

Doing? Playing with my new phone (LG Bliss) when I should be going to bed. Or writing, even though my Muse evidently isn't on speaking terms with me (wish I knew what I did to piss her off.) She got so nicely laid in a recent chapter that she doesn't want to have to go back to danger and conflict. ...

Re: The Happy News thread
I'm going to watch an exhibition match between Andre Agassi and Pete Sampras today. I didn't have money for the ticket (since I'm a penniless college student and all that), but my very generous brother in law (persuaded by my awesome older sis) called me this morning to tell me to buy the ticket an...

Re: Physics questions
The saucer of Enterprise-D on the movie, hiting the ground, would probably have killed all inside it... That's what I was afraid of. For the story to work the way I want it to the impact has to happen and has to be enormous but survivable. I just don't see any way to do that plausibly. Ah, but here...
