Re: Randomness
Hi everyone. :) Updating. I've been my father's caregiver at home for one month now. 24 hour supervision and care. Definitely mentally exhausting. I had to quit school and seriously limit my work hours. We have some aides who come in to help so I can work, shop, run errands etc. He was just hospital...

Lunch sounds great! :) I guess it's been a while since I watched the Firefly DVD. I didn't even realize Nathan Fillion was on the show. I'll have to check that out, thanks. I do really like the Castle character. I loved the Trip character as well, but I think it's all the familiar mannerisms and ges...

Re: Randomness
I didn't get Lyme this year yet, though the deer are still everywhere. I did, however, have Lyme last summer. Willow (our dog) had both Lyme and Anaplasmosis last year. Scary since she's on tick prevention and I've never seen a tick on her. I've sometimes pondered what occurs with me when I enjoy a ...

I forgot to mention that I seem to enjoy writing sex scenes more than I enjoy reading them so that's why I chose the PG-13 version. Not that it's relevant, but just saying...

I did see some strange spacing with words, but it didn't really bother me. I was reading on my laptop PC with the Kindle I downloaded from Amazon.com.
I liked Mary okay. I feel that I accepted her. She likes cats too and that's always a plus. My favorite character was Bert.

Re: The Whine thread.
Our ceiling was leaking last week from all of the rain. We called a roofer and the entire roof needs to be redone. It's just one of many things that need work. Sigh. Are you moving, Alelou? I hope not too far away, if you do. I still find it amazing that we live only 3 miles from one another and wer...

Re: The Whine thread.
I'm sorry this is painful for you, CX. :( Can you focus on your feelings as a part of your caring self? It always helps me to know that I'm a caring and loving person and these are my gifts. It might also be worth considering why you feel attracted to someone who isn't available. I think it's best t...

Re: Randomness
The abuse dynamic can be very complicated. The women are traumatized daily and eventually likely lose a sense of self. They probably all have ptsd. :( It's also very true that abusers often put themselves in a position of power, making it easy to abuse and prey on the vulnerable. Pedophiles very oft...

They're all unique and different. He'll find his way. It took my son another year after high school to really decide what he wanted to do (Information Technology). E struggles in school too, especially in math and science. This year she took an easier math course, though, and Environmental Science i...

Moderating and being an administrator can be a painful and agonizing job at times. I know that well because I do it too. Moderating is very important, though, and it keeps sites like this one running smoothly. I wanted to drop in and say hello. :) I just finished up my last course in Biology of the ...

Re: Have you ever done something really stupid?
The water alarm used to go off at work if water levels were too high in the ground. I think? This was some years ago. One morning I came in to open the store and heard an alarm. I thought it was the store alarm and so called the police. How embarrassing! I thought I would stop by here and say...
