I, too, am multi-lingual. I speak BASIC, Fortran, Pascal, C, Forth, perl, and python. So there. Wow me too. I have a 30ahem year old computer science degree too... Love languages, regardless of what they are meant for. I was taking classes on basic before Microsoft owned it. Yeah, yeah... I'm old.....

I speak 4 languages other than my native language of Dutch and I speak each one with a more or less pronounced Dutch accent... including English, Italian, Spanish and Chinese. Y'all have never heard anything until you hear Chinese spoken with a germanic accent. My Chinese friends think it hilarious....

No, T'Pol certainly didn't need the Trell to hook up with or fall in love with Trip. That was just the lazy writers way of getting TnT together without doing it the real, hard way. It might have taken longer without it, but even that's not a given. It all depends on how you do it. Alas, TPTB though...
