Sorry Asso, ::snerk:: I was having a moment. One kid did say, "Hey, there's a movie coming out." So, yeah, there is some awareness. But that one... well, I keep my honest thoughts about her to myself. Don't need to give those of us in my profession a bad rap. But oy.

I brought my laptop to school today to show my classes some video clips. My desktop image is a TnT fan art. Several kids thought it was anime, a couple recognized it as Star Trek and then it happened. One of my students asked, "What's Star Trek?"

Nope. McCoy is older than Kirk, Spock is either a little older than Kirk or around the same age, and pretty much everyone else is younger. Chekov is way younger. STXI should be titled Trek, 90210 . :lol: Everyone is young, gorgeous, and the technology is shinier. I'll have to wait and see what sort...

I really don't have time for a long rant as I need to get my ass to work, but I will say that I will go see this in theaters because regardless of my apprehensions, I am a Trek fan. Having said that, this is the sort of movie that annoys the hell out of me because reboots like these--while they brin...

Apparently there was a viewer poll related to this marathon today, "a movie that shaped your vision of the future", or something to that effect. The leading title was Blade Runner which is airing right after the final Next Gen episode. Thing is, I don't recall this being advertised at all....

After the "when animals go animal and attack" theme yesterday I expected zombies or aliens today. Close enough. The Sci-Fi Channel is having a mini Enterprise and Next Generation marathom today. ENT episodes are playing through 4:00PM ESD and then the Next Gen episodes pick up from there.
