Re: "Divergent Paths" Discussion

Bourbon, Rigel, you need bourbon. Look, you are from Florida - the South. You live in Oklahoma - which to a great degree is the South. All good Southern Authors created best when bourbon influenced. :D

Re: "Divergent Paths" Discussion

73 is up and let me say that one thing I like about Rigil is sometimes the equipment just doesn't work. I hope TnT have a lot of Swifters and some Vicks after this chapter. Regrettably, Rigil writes that there are no more in inventory waiting to be posted.

Re: Just a question "Darlin"

Dunno if it was me, but that's what he'd call her, right? I mean, everything else sounds odd to my southern ear. "Dear" and "sweetheart" are too formal, "luv" is too British, and I really don't think she'd ever stand for being called a food related name like "hon&...

Not to steal Rigil's thunder, but 72 is up on his website. One hint: Body Armor is your friend.

That is hilarious. Whoever did that could not have picked a better group to harass. The mail in your gold people are right down there with the pay day lenders in taking advantage of people.

Re: "Divergent Paths" Discussion

Rigil has Chapter 71 up. It's a really good mood setting chapter. You can almost smell the storm (metaphorically, that is) that's coming.

Re: Trip on Vulcan

Why am I suddenly imagining T'Pol doing commercials for once-a-month Boniva? She wouldn't be as perky at it as Sally Field is. Technically, that issue should be affecting her on Enterprise , too. Still, less gravity is probably not nearly as damaging as NO gravity. Please please please write this o...

This may be the wrong place to post this but both Connor Trinneer and John Billingsley are on "The Mentalist" tonight.

Re: "Divergent Paths" Discussion

And now, another mystery, who put the other satellites in orbit? Another one of Rigil's twists I didn't see coming. Good chapter!

Re: Night Shift Crew

Navigator, agree with your breakdown. What the Enterprise was lacking was a few Lt Commanders in addition to a few more Lt's Also, since the Warp Coil was not that big there should have been one in the Cargo bay as backup which would have prevented boarding and stealing one from the alien ship. May...

Re: Night Shift Crew

Ok, let's see, where to start? On a ship the size of Enterprise you would likely see a three section watch. That means if the watches were 4 hours long each watchstander would stand two per 24 hour period. If six hours then they would rotate around the clock; if 8 hours then once per 24 hours. The b...

Re: The Whine thread.

Of course, the 'Roma Victrix' thing isn't the only thing that bothered me. It's just the one thing that stayed with me the most, because up to that point in the movie I was still in the 'well let's wait and see, it might still turn out to be something worthwhile' set of mind. After that it became p...

Re: What are you...

Okay. Who wants to contribute to the fund to send aadarshinah to wherever Rigil Kent is? (Or vice versa) It's the TriS marriage broker service. For all your trekkie-nerd arranged marriage needs. You can put me down for $20 as long as you do the etouffee' for the reception. I'll even kick ...

I cannot even remotely express the ewwww factor of that concept.

Now wait, Don't you live in Louisiana? Cajun Country? I mean, y'all eat everything with legs but the table and a bunch of stuff with no legs. I am not criticizing - love LA and the food. Just askin'.
