Re: To Brave the Storm

Sorry i didn't respond sooner. My uncle passed away and things have been hectic this past week; to answer your questions Trip and T'Pol have an important role to play in the book especially when it comes to the events of the bombing on Vulcan. And Trip being in danger from the Romulans and their Vu...

Re: To Brave the Storm

Hmmm... wonder where she is? Anyway, yes, I think you'll be happy. I do have reason to believe that Trip and T'Pol finally get some sort of happy ending.

Re: Any updates on the next Enterprise Relaunch/Rom War book

Michael A. Martin certainly doesn't seem to make many efforts to interact with readers or to promote his writing. I've seen no spoilers or interviews about this book anywhere, and it's only a few months away.

Any updates on the next Enterprise Relaunch/Rom War book?

I know the title has been changed to "Star Trek: Enterprise: The Romulan War: To Brave the Storm" and it's due on 10/25. But does anyone have spoiler updates? Has Michael A. Martin given interviews anywhere on it?

Re: For fans of Pocket's Enterprise Relaunch/Rom War books...

T'Pol was deliberately not mentioned, however, so she could have been waiting for him at the spaceport for all we know. An elderly, non-descript human male, walking around the war memorial, wouldn't likely be recognized. That same human male with an elderly Vulcan female at his side would raise eyeb...

Re: For fans of Pocket's Enterprise Relaunch/Rom War books...

There's plenty of reference to the pre-Surak "gods" of the Vulcans. It's canon that they were once pagan - and some vestiges of the time before the Awakening still exist in Vulcan folklore, ritual and other cultural elements. Right, this would have been pre-Awakening, back when they were ...

Re: For fans of Pocket's Enterprise Relaunch/Rom War books...

Interesting... according to Memory Alpha, D.C. Fontana apparently intended Shariel to be the name of the Vulcan God of Death. This was apparently revealed in the text commentary track by the Okudas for the episode Amok Time on one of the DVD sets. Martin certainly does his research.

Re: Would TnT have kept their relationship to themselves?

I would think it would depend on the circumstances. If he was blindsided by a reporter who made lewd comments or asked improper questions than he might overreact. But if he was interviewed with knowledge beforehand and had a chance to prepare I think he'd do fine. He might be emotional (Elizabeth's...

Re: Would TnT have kept their relationship to themselves?

No, there's only the one chapter so far. I have an old outline for the rest, and an outline for a big Differential sequel (set post The Early Hours), but have never finished them. Maybe one day. If you've read Differential and all the little pre- and post- stories connected to it over at Trip/T'Pole...
