Re: JUNE 2010 WORD PROMPT!

Thanks all! Glad you liked it. It's fun to see what different things people come up with for the same prompt.

Re: Enough fans of doctor Who to justify a thread

I agree - Donna is by far my favorite companion. Captain Jack is great, too.

Re: JUNE 2010 WORD PROMPT!

Oooh, I'll play! Midnight Confessions They'd come up with a compromise of sorts: T'Mir could experience the Tooth Fairy, Santa Claus, and the Easter bunny as Trip wanted, but T'Pol had nothing to do with it. Trip suspected she had spent years perfecting a speech to T'Mir on the subject. It was late,...

Re: Enough fans of doctor Who to justify a thread

I checked the Doctor Who page at BBC America and it's Saturdays at 9/8 Central.

Personally, despite a couple of turns I didn't like along the way, I just loved Tennant's Doctor. I've only seen the first of the new eps, and it was better than I thought, but Ten will always be 'my' Doctor.

Re: Stargate SG1 + Gun Fans?

I think I should've realized the "+ Gun" was going to be important to this. Honestly, what that brings to mind is the silly S8 ep with Joe the Barber and Jack keeps a handgun in his kitchen drawer. Ugh. That episode had two problems for me: the part where he's been seeing Joe's life ...

Haha, that's terrific. I may have to use that sometime.

Re: T'Pol's Clothing

Rigil makes good points. I do wonder, though - T'Pau was another rebel and she wasn't wearing such clothing. Then again, she was in hiding, which can really crimp one's clothing options.

Re: Daily science stuff

Matter Triumphs Over Antimatter
I have a hard time with the concept a bit - does that mean there is, say, antigold and antioxygen? - but it's an interesting article anyway.

No my dear. A very rediculous to the point of surpassing anything believable Sherlock Holmes. A british TV movie where I am sorry to say... Sherlock kills him, and he is Thomas Holmes his brother As my mama said... Malcolm makes a great bad guy. Too bad she never saw the MU. Oh, I think I read a qu...

Re: Fancy meeting YOU here!

The May 4 episode of "CSI: Miami" has Tim Russ in it (you can watch it online on the CBS site, if you're in the US).

Re: Randomness

Mmm, unhealthy food. It always seems to taste better. Cooking misadventures are fun with the right people. Junior year in college I tried to make damper and it was burnt on the outside and half-raw on the outside. And yet one of my roommates and I couldn't stop eating it with jam and/or honey, so we...

Re: Trip Speaking Vulcan

Thanks. :D I actually started jotting down some ideas tonight. We'll see if it ever gets finished (versus joining the collection of story excerpts collecting virtual dust on my hard drive). Except: (Trip is reading T'Pol's human idiom list) Tastes like chicken: (humorous) a common human response to ...

Re: Randomness

See, it works as long as you think that would've been cool. It could backfire spectacularly if someone picked a Trek name for their child and the child was mortified. (I'm especially picturing the teenage years here.) Unless they went with a mainstream name. You could call your son James without a p...
